I think that the troops should leave Iraq because at some point-whether sooner or later-they will leave Iraq- but we would be taking the risk of waiting longer and having more troops die.Most Iraqis want to kill the u.s. soldiers, but a majority of them want the troops to leave sooner because they hate having to deal with war every day.They also want no war because every day they have to sit in traffic for hours because the Americans closed off half of the city;having to sit in that traffic behind a U.S. military vehicle pointing its weapons at them.
If the people in the military dont want to go to war then why do they?The most common answer is that it would be irresponsible for the United States to depart before a measure of peace is assured.the American presence is the only thing keeping Iraq from an all-out civil war that could take millions of lives and would destroy its region.now that the american troops are in iraq there is nothing stopping countries such as Baghdad from launching an assault on the city.Baghdad's forces could not mount such an assault.Baghdad only has small arms and explosives and are very weak compared with the better armed and numerically superior Kurdish Mulitias.
If the war were to end so,too, would the insurgency. who would the insurgency fight if the enemy left?if you would ask Arab fighters why they attacked america, they would all give the same one-word answer:REVENGE.revenge for destruction of their homes, for the shame they felt when the Americans forced them to the ground ,and for the killing of their friends and family in war or during raids.
in conclusion this is why we should bring the soldiers back to their families because if we don't , some soldiers may never get to see their families ever again.
